Walter Gropius, a master architect and one of the founders of the Bauhaus School of Art, is being introduced through a new application highlighting his work. As one of the pioneers of modern architecture, Gropius has many structures in Berlin and is highly regarded for his contributions to the field. The app aims to educate users about his unique style and approach to design. Berlin’s National Values Department head, Jörg Haspel, commented on the app’s launch, calling Gropius “one of the most important architects of the 20th century.” Gropius fled Nazi Germany in 1934 after Bauhaus was closed, and later passed away in the United States in 1968. The app is available for free for Android, iOS, and Windows phones, but only currently features English and German language options.
